Mayday Bureau Limited was formed in October 1982 as a general employment agency and was incorporated by Mr. J. N. A. Spackman. It supplied temporary/permanent staff to businesses in the North West of England.

In January 1997 Keymen Group was incorporated and Keymen Associates Limited took over the ownership of Mayday, who was now solely supplying Homecare and Nursing staff to Private, Social Services, NHS and Care Homes.

In October 1999 another company joined the group called A.I.S.S Limited, which dealt in the supply of Static Guards, Retail Security and Door Supervisors. It also deals in process serving and private investigation.

In January 2001, a further company was added, David Wards Printers Limited, based in Bolton and supplying a variety of printed products - letterheads, compliment slips, business cards etc., to businesses within the North West.

The group now operates from a Head office in Bolton and has units in Chorley, Leigh and Bury.
